Abstract

(Two new species of Anthurium (Araceae) endemic to the coast of São Paulo, Brazil) Two new species of the
genus Anthurium (section Urospadix) from the coast of the state of São Paulo are described. Anthurium
alcatrazense is endemic to the island of Alcatrazes (Ecological Station Tupinambás), municipality of São
Sebastião, and belongs to the subsection Obscureviridia. Anthurium navicularis belongs to subsection
Flavescentiviridia and is endemic to the Ecological Station Juréia-Itatins, municipality of Peruíbe. The two
species occur in the Atlantic forest biome, in rocky coastal areas. Diagnoses, illustrations, and comments on
the geographical distribution, ecology, phenology, and conservation status are provided for both species.
